Well of Illusions!

before you read any further, let me provide a word of caution: this post is not going to be all sugary and fun-loving, neither is it going to be all suck-up and fake. this is going to be a damning analysis of all that has transpired in the past two weeks or so of school, and i am going to put down my thoughts on exactly how i feel about them whether you like it or not. so if you don't like the cold, hard facts, then go read some cutesy girl magazine.

school start off really well with a fantastic orientation group. i don't think i could have asked for anything better. from the word go i sought to get to know my non-ri and rgs peers better, and i think that hong rui and chien ming really will fit in well with the rest of the raffles crowd. and no, i'm not going to entertain the thought of them having to leave when the o level results come out on friday. it's just too tragic to be true.

the others who didn't come from either of the raffles schools in my og were daphne and isabella. actually i'm not sure if my usage of the past tense in this case if very appropriate because they're still very much part of our og and our og is still very much intact. i sincerely believe they'll spend the rest of the next two years in rj.

and so, having brought together a mix of people from a total of 6 different schools, our og was bound to be an interesting one. to the guys, like seng han and cheng han, i find myself pleasantly surprised by the unexpected fun that you two have brought to the group. to think that i've been in the same school with these two guys for four years and not gotten to know them is truly quite hard to believe.

for the girls, there's AILEEN!!! and cheryl, who stays really near me! :O small world w0rx! Aileen's really fun to make fun off ;) and i hope everyone starts NOT using the correct pronunciation of her name, just to diff her...HAHAHA okkk on a serious note i do hope both of us get into writers' guild :X (fingers crossed, for ME not you eileen!)

so yeah, i don't really feel like going over all the things that happened during orientation, but it was really quite a good time that we had together and i always smile everytime i think back to the collective effort that we showed in the station games and the IHC sentosa, where we totally pwned all the other OGs and in the latter event, still had enough time to make our way back to the 7-11 van to get ourselves a drink xD bw07 totally kicks ass and everyone knows it! HAH!

of all the people in my og i do have to say that the person i'm most grateful for has to be chien ming. in a time of transition and getting used to the countless number of changes that the change in environment from a single sex to co-ed school has brought, he's been one of those that's stuck by me the past few days and i'm really grateful for that. even though i've attached myself to him like a leech, he hasn't once dissed me for it.

which isn't something i can say for CERTAIN people who i've known for so much longer than the people in my orientation group. and yet, they seem to have found their own bunch of cool friends, such that someone like me is now too un-cool to be seen with them. when that happens, i guess the only thing for me to do is the backout and go somewhere else. and that's what friends are for.

not that there aren't any disadvantages from that! i've met a lot of really nice people now, like amanda, gail, jeremy, kenneth, jia cong...and got to speak with some people who i wouldn't even have come into contact with had i been stuck with my previous crowd. so yes, everything has two sides to it. and maybe it was better getting dissed by my friends (who should really be ex-friends now) now rather than later. and to whoever you are, screw you! (:

got lots of events lined up for me: just decided on which story i'm submitting for my application to the writers' guild (yes i'm not writing anything new, lazy me xD) and i have auditions for raffles rock coming up, as well as talentime! :O so packed wor!

and so to finish up, i'd like to thank people like seetow and tom, for sticking wit' me as well even though they could have just as easily run off with their new friends. i can't possibly name everybody who's been nice to me in this post, but to whoever you are, just know that i'm really thankful that you've been there for me during this trying period of adjustments (:
